Gummy Getaway: A Color Block Puzzle Where Every Gummy Needs Its Door
A first look at Gummy Getaway: slide each gummy out through the door of its own color in 30 levels and a free Daily, with Chill mode, boosters and a candy jar.

Gummy Getaway is a color block puzzle on a candy-shop counter. The board is crowded with gummies, the walls have colored doors, and every gummy has to leave through the door that matches it. It’s quick to learn, it plays in a couple of minutes a level, and it’s free in your browser.
The idea in one line
Get every gummy off the board, each one through the door of its own color.
That’s the whole goal. The trick is that the gummies are in each other’s way.
How gummies move
Drag a gummy with your finger or the mouse, and it slides until something stops it: a wall, another gummy, or the edge of the board. Gummies come in different shapes, from single squares to longer blocks and L shapes, and they keep their shape as they slide.
When a gummy reaches a door of its own color, it pops out and leaves the board. A door in any other color is just a wall to it.
So every level is a question of order. Which gummy can leave right now? Which one is blocking the others? Which one needs to be parked somewhere out of the way first?
Colors you can read without color
Every color in Gummy Getaway also has its own symbol: cherry has a heart, lime a triangle, blueberry a dot, lemon a star, grape a diamond, orange a square, bubblegum a drop and mint a plus. The symbol is drawn on the gummy and on a badge beside its door, and it’s always on. You never need to tell two shades apart to solve a board.
30 levels, with the clock arriving gently
There are 30 levels, and a solver checked every one, so every board can be solved and each has a par to aim for.
The first three levels teach you the basics with no clock at all: dragging, blocking and getting the order right. The clock arrives on level 4 with a “Beat the clock!” banner, and it only starts on your first move, so you can study the board for as long as you like before you touch it.
Some levels are marked Hard or Super hard. They’re tougher boards, and they pay more coins to match.
Stars and par
Every level has a par: the move count the solver found for it. Finish at par for three stars, within one and a half times par for two, and any win earns one. You see your stars after a win, never as pressure during play.
Chill mode
Not everyone wants a clock. Chill mode, right on the title screen, turns the timer off for every level. There’s no losing in Chill mode: you just solve at your own pace. Coins are halved while it’s on, since there’s no clock to beat.
Boosters for a stuck board
Three boosters help when you’re stuck:
- Hint shows a good next move.
- Freeze stops the clock for ten seconds.
- Pop takes one gummy off the board.
Boosters are bought with coins you earn by winning. Coins are never sold. Our coins and boosters guide covers prices and when each booster is worth it.
Combos and the candy jar
Send gummies out quickly, one after another, and you build a combo: the pops climb a musical scale and the game cheers you on. It’s not required, but it feels great.
Every win also drops a candy into the candy jar. Five wins fill it, and a full jar pays bonus coins plus a free booster.
The Daily
Each day brings one Daily board, the same for everyone, resetting at midnight US Pacific. The Daily is never timed, so a streak never depends on fast fingers, and the streak forgives one missed day a week. On HulaGames you can even challenge a friend to beat your moves. Read more in our Gummy Getaway Daily guide.
Built for your phone
Gummy Getaway is built for phones first, in portrait, and it plays just as well with a mouse on a computer. There’s nothing to install, and it loads quickly. Your progress saves in your browser, and with a free HulaGames account it syncs to your account so you can pick up on another device.
Hula Points
On HulaGames, Gummy Getaway earns Hula Points for level wins, for every tenth level and for the Daily. They count toward the weekly leaderboards, and the daily quests sometimes ask for Gummy Getaway wins.
