Gummy Getaway key art: smiling gummy blocks on a candy-shop puzzle board, with the red L-shaped gummy sliding out of its door

Gummy Getaway is a color block puzzle set on a candy-shop counter. Every board is packed with squishy gummies, and each one has to leave through the door that matches its color. It’s free to play on HulaGames, in your browser, and built for phones first.

The rules take ten seconds to learn: drag a gummy, and it slides until something stops it. Getting good is about the order of your moves. These tips will help you clear boards faster and pick up three stars more often.

1. Read the doors before you touch a gummy

Before your first move, look at the edges of the board. Every door has a color, and every color also has its own symbol, so you can tell them apart without relying on color alone. Find the gummy that’s closest to its own door with a clear path. That’s usually your first move.

2. Free the gummy that’s blocking the most

On busy boards, one gummy is often in everyone’s way. Moving it first opens two or three exits at once. If you’re stuck, ask which gummy, once gone, would let the most others out.

3. Use the walls as brakes

A gummy slides until it hits something. That’s not just an obstacle; it’s a tool. Slide a gummy against a wall or another gummy to park it exactly where you want it, out of the lane you need next.

4. Chain your exits for combos

Send gummies out in quick succession and the game counts a combo, with a callout and a rising pop sound. Line up two or three easy exits and fire them off one after another.

5. Beat par for three stars

Each level has a par: the move count to aim for. Clear the board in par or fewer for three stars, or within one and a half times par for two. Three-star wins also pay extra coins. If you won with too many moves, replay the level knowing where every gummy has to go.

6. Spend boosters where they count

Coins buy three boosters:

  • Hint shows a good next move.
  • Freeze stops the clock for ten seconds.
  • Pop removes one gummy from the board.

Save Pop for the gummy that’s blocking everything, and Freeze for the last few seconds of a hard timed level. When time runs out, you can also buy 30 more seconds and keep going.

7. Take on Hard levels for more coins

Hard levels pay double coins, and Super Hard levels pay triple. A win streak adds a bonus on top, and every fifth win fills the candy jar with 100 bonus coins.

8. Play the Daily, then turn the clock off

The Daily is the same board for everyone each day, with no timer, and solving it keeps your Day streak going. When you’d rather think than race, switch on Chill mode: no clock on any level.
