HulaGames is a home for free browser games made in San Diego. We collect as little as we can. This page says what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Email address, only if you give it to us. When you tap "Notify me" or "Get in the loop", we store your email and which game you asked about, so we can tell you when it launches.
- Visit counts without cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
- Error reports. If something breaks, we may receive a technical error report (the page, your browser type and what went wrong) so we can fix it. It doesn't include your name or email.
- Gameplay events, once accounts launch. When HulaGames accounts arrive, we'll record game events such as "won a round" to award Hula Points, and keep your saved progress so it follows you. You can play as a guest without giving us any personal details.
- Things stored on your device. We keep a short list of games you recently played in your browser's local storage, so "Keep playing" works. It never leaves your device.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't show ads on HulaGames, and we don't share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use tracking cookies.
Who helps us run HulaGames
Netlify hosts the site and stores email signups. Cloudflare provides cookie-free visit counts. As accounts launch, Supabase will store account data, Sentry will receive error reports and PostHog will receive anonymous usage events. Each of them handles data only to provide their service to us.
The games
Some games currently open on their own websites (for example numberphase.com and jungleduel.com). Once you're on a game's own site, that site's own privacy page applies.
Children
HulaGames is for general audiences. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a player tells us they're under 13, their progress stays on their device as a guest and we never ask for an email. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Deleting your data
To remove your email from our list, or to have any data about you deleted, send us a message through the contact page. When accounts launch, you'll also be able to delete your account yourself from your profile, and everything tied to it is removed within a minute.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
