About this game

Crazy Eights is the classic shedding game. Match the top card of the pile by suit or by rank, and be the first to empty your hand.

Eights are wild. Play one on anything and name the next suit, and the picker shows how many of each suit you hold. The suit counter under the pile shows how many of each suit you haven't seen yet, and how many eights are still out.

Play 1 to 3 bots, Pip, Coral and Sal, at Easy, Medium or Hard. Hard plans ahead by playing the round out many times before it moves. Every bot plays only from what it can see.

Today's Daily deals everyone the same cards against three Medium bots. At the end of every round you see every player's hand, and Replay this deal plays the same cards again. Your games and streak save on your device, and follow your HulaGames account when you sign in.

How to play Crazy Eights

  1. Play a card that matches the top card of the pile by suit or by rank. If you can't, draw from the deck until you can.
  2. Eights are wild: play one on anything and name the suit the next player has to follow.
  3. The first player to empty their hand wins the round and scores the cards left in everyone else's hands: 50 for an eight, 10 for a king, queen or jack, face value for the rest. First to 100 with 2 players, or 250 with 3 or 4, wins the game.

Controls: Tap a lit card, then tap it again to play it. Tap the deck to draw when you can't play. After an eight, tap the suit you want.

Questions

Can I play Crazy Eights now?

Yes. It's free on HulaGames, in your browser, with no download. Press Play on this page.

What do eights do?

An eight can be played on any card. You then name the suit the next player has to follow.

What if I can't play a card?

You draw from the deck until you can play. You can change this to one card per turn in Settings.

How is a round scored?

The player who goes out scores the cards left in the other hands: 50 for an eight, 10 for a king, queen or jack, and face value for the rest. If nobody can play and the deck is empty, the lowest hand wins the round.

Is there a daily game?

Yes. Today's Daily is one deal with the same cards for everyone, and it resets at midnight Pacific.

Are there ads or anything to buy?

No. There are no ads before or during play, and nothing to buy.

Do I need an account?

No. Press Play and start. Your progress saves in your browser, and follows your HulaGames account if you sign in.
