About this game
Flip Tide is a two-player disc-flipping game on an 8 by 8 board. Place a disc so a line of the other color sits between it and one of yours, and the whole line flips. Most discs at the end wins.
Play the bot at Easy, Medium or Hard. Easy plays loose and gives away corners, Medium looks four moves ahead, and Hard searches deep and plays the last 14 squares perfectly. Every bot sees only the board. After a loss, the Turning point shows the move where the game slipped.
Today's Daily Flip is an endgame the computer solved exactly, the same for everyone. Finish ahead for a star; match perfect play for three. Five hundred more puzzles wait in the Archive, and two people can share one phone with pass-and-play.

How to play Flip Tide
- Place a disc so that a straight line of the other color sits between it and one of yours. That whole line flips to your color, in all 8 directions at once.
- Dots show every legal move, and each number says how many discs it flips. No legal move? You pass, and the other side plays again.
- When neither side can move, the game ends, and most discs wins. Corners can never be flipped, so they are worth fighting for.
Controls: Tap a dotted square to place your disc. Undo takes back your move and the bot's reply (Easy, Medium, pass-and-play and Archive practice).
