Jungle Trail Guide: All 9 Chapters and 100 Levels
A chapter-by-chapter Jungle Trail guide: all nine chapters of Jungle Duel's 100-level campaign, each rule twist, every Guardian, and how Trail Marks work.

The Jungle Trail is the 100-level campaign inside Jungle Duel. It is split into nine chapters, and each chapter adds one twist to the rules, introduces it gently, mixes it with earlier twists, and ends with a Guardian boss who has a power of its own.
You can start right now without an account: Chapter 1 is free for guests. A free Google sign-in opens chapters 2 to 9 and saves your progress across devices.
This guide tours every chapter in order, with its level range, its twist and its Guardian. If you want counters for each boss, our companion post on the Jungle Duel Guardians goes deeper.
How the Jungle Trail works
Every Trail level is a Jungle Duel match with the normal rules: five clearings, three moves, seven animals. What changes is the twist. Early levels are quicker one-round duels, which makes the first chapter a relaxed place to learn.
Two things keep the rules clear as they stack up:
- The Level Start sheet always lists the rules in play before you begin.
- The board marks every twist with a badge, so you can see which clearings are affected.
If you leave a duel unfinished, the Trail offers Resume duel so you can pick up where you left off.
Trail Marks and Explorer XP
Every level has three Trail Marks to earn:
- Win the duel.
- Win by 2 or more points.
- Beat the level’s own goal, shown before you start. Examples include “win by 4 or more points” or “win a fogged clearing worth 2 or more.”
Marks, wins and daily challenges earn Explorer XP. Explorer levels unlock titles, map markers, profile frames and prestige crests. You only need a win to move on, so the extra Marks are there for when you want to come back and master a level.
Chapter 1: Green Threshold (levels 1–12)
Twist: Wild Growth. Root-covered slots open as the column grows. From level 7, you also get Scout’s Choice: once per duel, send a card to the bottom of the deck and draw the next.
Green Threshold is where everyone starts, and it is free with no account. The early levels are one-round duels, so you can learn the core game and the first twist in short bursts. Scout’s Choice is a small but handy tool. When your hand has a card you know you will not use, swapping it for the next draw can rescue a turn.
Guardian: The Stone Lion. Its power, Stone Roar, seals one clearing for a turn.
Chapter 2: Sunken Sanctuary (levels 13–24)
Twist: Tides. Some clearings rise (+1) or ebb (−1) each round.
Tides change the value of clearings between rounds, so a clearing that was a modest prize in round one can be worth more in round two. Check the badges at the start of every round, not just the first.
Guardian: The Jaguar Guardian. Its power, Sanctuary Surge, floods one clearing, making it worth 0 that round.
Chapter 2 is the first chapter that needs a free sign-in.

Chapter 3: Monsoon Crossing (levels 25–36)
Twist: Current. One clearing is worth +1, and the current moves along the row each round.
The Current is a moving bonus. Because it travels along the row, the clearing you fight over in one round may not be the one carrying the bonus in the next. Think a round ahead about where it will land.
Guardian: The River Crocodile. Its power, Undertow, swaps the values of the most and least valuable clearings from round 2 onward.
Chapter 4: Moonlit Temple (levels 37–48)
Twist: Fog. Some clearings hide their value until the round ends.
Fog turns the game toward judgment. You know a fogged clearing is in play, but not what it is worth until scoring. Some level goals ask you to win a fogged clearing worth 2 or more, which rewards committing to fog rather than avoiding it.
Guardian: The Moon Owl. Its power, Eclipse, means the final round is fought entirely in fog.
Chapter 5: Sunfire Canopy (levels 49–60)
Twist: Drought. Parched clearings take at most 2 cards per side.
Normally each side holds three cards per clearing. Drought shrinks that to two, so every card at a parched clearing counts for more and a strong pair can be hard to beat.
Guardian: The Sun Eagle. Its power, Scorch, burns one valuable clearing to 0 each round.
Chapter 6: Vine Labyrinth (levels 61–72)
Twist: Vine Snare. The first card each side plays into a snared clearing goes face-down.
Vine Snare adds hidden information you did not choose. Both sides get a face-down card at a snared clearing, which makes those clearings harder to read and rewards thinking about which card you want hidden there.
Guardian: The Great Python. Its power, Constrict, makes one clearing each round hold only 1 card per side.

Chapter 7: Ember Shrine (levels 73–84)
Twist: Totems. Carved totems add strength at marked clearings.
Totems give extra strength before you play a card. Look at which marked clearings already carry a totem and how much ground you need to make up there.
Guardian: The Ember Gorilla. Its power, Kindle, gives the Guardian +1 strength at a marked clearing each round.
Chapter 8: Storm Peaks (levels 85–96)
Twist: Remix and Rally. Earlier twists return in pairs. On top of that, Rally gives one animal type +2 strength each round, and the rallied type changes every round.
Storm Peaks tests everything you learned on the way up. Read the Level Start sheet carefully, because two old twists can combine in ways you have not seen. Rally also changes which cards are worth playing: the rallied animal type is stronger for that round only.
Guardian: The Storm Tiger. Its power, Tempest, swaps two clearings in odd rounds and scorches one in even rounds.
Chapter 9: Crown of the Jungle (levels 97–100)
Twist: Gauntlet. Four short rematches built from the Guardians’ powers.
The final chapter is only four levels long, and each one draws on the bosses you have already beaten. It is a fitting finale: everything you learned about seals, floods, fog, scorch and swaps comes back at once.
Guardian: The Jungle Sovereign. Its power, Reign, brings Scorch in round 1, Eclipse in round 2 and Tempest in round 3.

How the Trail gets harder
Much of the challenge on the Jungle Trail comes from the rules themselves. Each chapter introduces its twist gently, then starts mixing it with the twists from earlier chapters. By the time you reach Storm Peaks, older twists return in pairs, and Crown of the Jungle builds its four rematches from the Guardians’ own powers.
That structure means every chapter both teaches something new and tests what you already know. A player who understands Fog will read a fogged clearing calmly in Chapter 8, while one who skipped past it may struggle. It is worth taking each chapter at your own pace.
Signing in also opens your Trophy Hall, where your achievements and rewards collect as you climb.
Tips for climbing the Trail
- Read the Start sheet every time. Twists get mixed with earlier ones as each chapter goes on, so a level may not play like the one before it.
- Learn the base game first. The twists change values and slots, but the core skills stay the same: spread your strength, handle the Swamp, and time your hidden card. Our Jungle Duel strategy tips cover those.
- Come back for Marks. You only need a win to move forward. Revisit a level later to earn the win-by-2 Mark and the level goal.
- Mix in the daily challenge. It is a two-round duel with a single Jungle Trail twist, and it earns Explorer XP too.
