Crown Trouble Daily: One Board a Day, a Streak to Keep
How Today's Daily works in Crown Trouble: one board for everyone, two goals in 13 moves, free retries, a streak that forgives a missed day, and challenge links for friends.

Once you’ve learned the ropes in Crown Trouble, there’s a reason to come back every day: Today’s Daily. It’s one board, the same for everyone, with a streak to keep and a result you can share. Here’s how it works and how to win it.
What the Daily is
Every day brings one new board. Everyone who plays that day gets the same tiles, the same refills, the same goals and the same number of moves, so a result means the same thing for you as for anyone you share it with.
The Daily turns over at midnight US Pacific time for everyone at once. Wherever you live, today’s board is the same board as everyone else’s.
The rules of the Daily
The Daily plays like any Crown Trouble level, with a fixed shape:
- All five tile kinds are on the board: crown, star, drop, leaf and gem.
- Two goals: collect 14 tiles of each of two kinds. Which two changes every day.
- 13 moves to do it.
That’s tighter than most of the regular levels, so the Daily is a real puzzle rather than a quick lap. It isn’t mean, though. We tested the Daily formula across a full year of boards, and a steady player wins it comfortably, with a few moves to spare on a typical day. No day is built to break your streak.
Retries are free. If you run out of moves, try again straight away. The board is the same every attempt, so each try teaches you something about that day’s layout.
Streaks, with one day of grace
Win the Daily and your streak grows, shown as “Day 1 streak”, “Day 2 streak” and so on. Win again tomorrow and it keeps going.
Life gets in the way sometimes, so the streak forgives one missed day a week. Miss a single day and your streak is saved, with the line “Streak saved. See you tomorrow.” Miss two days in a row, or a second day within the same week, and the streak starts over: “New streak, day 1. Let’s go.”
The Daily doesn’t pay a castle star. That’s on purpose: the castle’s ten jobs are paid by the ten levels, so the Daily can never skip you ahead or leave the levels pointless. What it gives you is the streak, and the satisfaction of beating the same board as everyone else.
Sharing your result
When you win, you can share your result. The share says which day’s Daily you played, how many moves you had to spare and your streak, without giving away the board, so you never spoil it for a friend who hasn’t played yet.
Challenge a friend
On HulaGames, your Daily share link is also a challenge link. When a friend opens it, they play that same Daily with your result as their target. When they finish, the result card tells them whether they beat you or you win that one.
Moves to spare is the score, so finishing with more moves left is better. Playing an older Daily through a challenge link never counts toward your own streak, so a challenge from last week is just for fun.
How to win the Daily
Thirteen moves for 28 goal tiles means you need more than plain three-tile matches. A few habits help:
- Read both goals first. Note which two kinds you need. Every swap should clear at least one of them, or set up something that will.
- Look for four-in-a-rows. A Rocket through a row or column full of goal tiles can clear five or more in a single move. Our boosters guide shows how to build them.
- Save Bombs for clusters. A Bomb clears a 3x3 area, so fire it where both goal kinds sit close together.
- Make matches low on the board. Low matches pull more fresh tiles down, which means more free cascades, and cascades cost no moves.
- Watch the count, not the board. With three or four moves left, count exactly how many tiles each goal still needs and pick the swap that closes the bigger gap.
If a run goes badly, don’t push it to the last move just to see. Restart, and use what you learned about where the goal tiles start.
Points and quests
The Daily keeps your Crown Trouble streak going. On HulaGames, the game’s Hula Points come from winning levels, finishing castle jobs and restoring rooms; the daily quests sometimes ask for Crown Trouble wins too. Every point counts toward the weekly leaderboards.

FAQ
Is there a daily puzzle in Crown Trouble?
Yes. Today’s Daily is one board a day, the same for everyone, and it turns over at midnight US Pacific time.
What is the goal of the Crown Trouble Daily?
Collect 14 tiles of each of two kinds in 13 moves. The two kinds change every day.
Can I retry the Daily?
Yes. Retries are free. Winning it once keeps your streak going for that day.
Does the Daily give a castle star?
No. The Daily feeds your streak instead, so the castle is still paid for by the ten levels.
